Caught: Police Arrest 2 Suspects in Middlebrook Farm Apartments Double Murder

The second suspect in connection with the double homicide at Middlebrook Farms Apartments last month, has been arrested.
17-year-old Diego Alvarez was arrested overnight and taken into custody. He has been charged with two counts of murder, three counts of armed home invasion and robbery and three counts of false imprisonment.
The man who Orlando police believe shot and killed two people outside the Middlebrook Farm Apartments last month, was caught on Wednesday night, investigators said.
21-year-old Joshua Heard, initially identified as a person of interest, was arrested by the Orlando Police Fugitive Unit and US Marshals in the Ivey Lane area on Orlando’s west side.
Investigators believe, Heard, one of two suspects fatally shot 24-year-old Khoy Williams and Jonathan Cook, 17, in the early morning hours of February 19, outside the Middlebrook Farm Apartments. The pair were visiting friends at the apartment complex and were innocent victims of a robbery gone bad. Neither Williams nor Cook has a criminal history police said, earlier.
A third person, a 22-year-old man was also shot, but he survived his injuries.
Heard has been charged with two counts of first degree murder, three counts of armed robbery and home invasion and three counts of false imprisonment. He was booked into the Orange County Jail early on Thursday morning.
Earlier, police released a composite sketch of a second suspect, described as a thin Hispanic male, believed to be been 16-20 years of age, approximately 5′ 5″ to 5′ 7″ tall and a frequent associate of Heard.
