Orange, Seminole County Voters Receive Bogus Voter Purge Letters
As in 22 other counties across Florida, voters in Orange County have been receiving bogus letters purporting to be from the Supervisor of Elections office, post-marked from Seattle.
The official-looking letters imply that unless the individual is able to prove citizenship, the person is ineligible to vote in the November 6th election.
Voters in Seminole County have also received similar letters.
The letters have mostly gone to people registered as Republican, according to news reports.
Last Friday, the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections Lori Scott, first alerted on the fraudulent letters.
The U.S. Department of Justice has launched a probe into potential voter fraud in Brevard County.
