Dr. Phillips High School Student Charged in Dating Violence Incident
Orlando police have determined that the altercation and subsequent cutting between two students at Dr. Phillips High School was a dating violence incident and have charged a 17-year-old male student.
Antonio Acevedo has been charged with attempted murder (dating violence) and aggravated battery with a weapon, after police say, he cut a female student, with a pocket knife.
Police also say, Acevedo and the female student, also 17-year-old, had been dating for three years.
After the cutting incident, which took place in the parking lot of the school around 7:30 a.m., both Acevedo and the female student were taken to local area hospitals for treatment.
