Police: Kissimmee Man Confesses to Sexually Battering 4-Year-Old Girl

A Kissimmee man was arrested last week, accused of sexually battering a 4-year-old girl in New Haven, Connecticut.

30-year-old Adalberto Diaz confessed to battering the girl, during interviews with police and is being held at the Osceola County Jail on no bond, Kissimmee police say.  He is awaiting extradition to Connecticut.

New Haven police detectives began their investigation around August 2011, when they contacted Kissimmee police in connection with the sexual battery allegation.  Kissimmee detectives were able to locate several possible addresses for Diaz, in Central Florida.  He was interviewed on July 5, and substantiated the allegations.

A warrant was obtained and Diaz was arrested for sexual battery on August 2^nd.
