A male passenger in a car that crashed into a tree was killed in Orange County on Sunday.

A 2006 Nissan driven by Joshua Clayton, 29, was traveling eastbound on Oberly Parkway near Abalone Boulevard around mid-night. Troopers said, Clayton was traveling above the posted speed limit and failed to stop before the road ended.

33-year-old Shawn Fika, of Orlando, a passenger, died on the spot when the vehicle struck a tree, after leaving the roadway.

Clayton suffered minor injuries and was transported to Florida Hospital East.

The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Shawn this is so hard, its killing me that you arent here.
