I grew up with Daphne-same schools, same church, sang in the same choir at church, even roomed together on one of our church outings. I am in total shock! I am also angry! It never crossed my mind before how all the attention is given to “other” crimes. Rev Al, Rev Jessie, where are you on this one?? The stinking, rotten, coward who did this will pay sooner or later and I pray to God it is SOONER. Lord, please give my friends the strength to get through tomorrow and the days ahead.

Keith Holder you are right, it is a shame. We have no real leaders. Again, they will all wait until there is some kind of consensus that everyone can agree on. This consensus will have no real effect except to calm the nerve endings for awhile, then disappear. One person can make a difference. Just do what you can do. Join the PTA or some other group and become active. You will be surprised at what one person can accomplish.

I feel so sorry for this family. This is just another senseless death in our community. Maybe this tragedy added to the Champion’s and Martin’s tragedies will shine a light on the many deaths that goes on unnoticed in our community. Maybe, just maybe some good will come from this.

My son knew Dino and he is devastated over this senseless act. Shame on those who refuse to cooperate with police. Where’s the outrage that a young beautiful, positive young black male is killed by another black male? Why aren’t we seeing protesting with the likes of George Zimmerman? Why are blacks allowed to kill each other and know one from the black community is demanding justice? Every African American leader in the Greater Orlando are should be ashamed of themselves for remaining silent while the Cannon family suffers during this life changing event.

This is so horrible. These kids just don’t value human life at all. Incidents like this are heartbreaking on so many levels. My prayers go out to the family and friends of Dino Cannon.
