Woman Killed on State Road 520, 1-Year-old Daughter Suffers Minor Injuries

A Palm Bay mother was killed and her one-year-old daughter suffered minor injuries, when their vehicle struck a culvert and overturned multiple times on State Road 520.

The crash occurred near Taylor Creek Road around 4:45 p.m. on Friday.

Troopers said, 24-year-old Kristal Rollfinke, of Palm Bay, was traveling eastbound on State Road in the left through lane when she drifted off the road way and into the center grass median.

The 2005 Chevy Rollfinke was driving struck a culvert, traveled back into the eastbound lanes and overturned multiple times, troopers also said.

Rollfinke was pronounced dead at the scene.

32-year-old Abigail Goodrich, a passenger, sustained minor injuries. So did Rollfinke’s one-year-old daughter, Nevaeh Rollfinke, who was secured in a car seat.  Troopers said, the car seat was not secured inside the Chevy.

Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate this crash.
