School Bus Rear-ended: Student, Assistant Suffers Minor Injuries

A school bus carrying 26 special needs students was rear-ended Thursday morning, Daytona Beach police said.

The crash occurred near the intersection of LPGA Boulevard and the I-95 southbound off ramp just before 8:00 p.m.

Police said, an assistant on the bus and one child were transported to a local area hospital with minor injuries.

The Volusia County School bus was stopped at a red light, when it was rear-ended by a second vehicle.

Kenneth Grover, the driver who crashed into the school bus, was ticketed for careless driving.
