Magic Beat 76ers in 113 -100 Finish
Ryan Anderson led the Orlando Magic with 26 points and 16 rebounds en route to a 113-100 win over the 76ers Monday night.
Anderson had a big night on both ends of the floor; his ankle is starting to look 100% and the Magic need him going forward.
“I haven’t been shooting the ball extremely well the last few games so tonight I wanted to get going on the offensive glass, get my confidence up,” Anderson said.
The Magic shot 53% from the field and 61% from beyond the arc.
With Daniel Orton starting his first game as a pro you could see his excitement during the introduction.
“We had guys playing tonight who haven’t played much all season, and they stepped up and played great for us,” Anderson continued.
Orlando used a 40-28 second quarter to give them some cushion going into halftime
Jrue Holiday led Philadelphia with 18 points and Andre Iguodala finished with 15 points.
The Magic are now (24-4) when scoring more then 100 points this season.
Jameer Nelson finished with 16 points and a game high 13 assists for a beaten and battered Orlando team without Hedu Turkaglu, Dwight Howard and Glen Davis.
“It was a tremendous team effort tonight. To score 113 points against statistically the best defense in the league was great for us,” Magic coach Stan Van Gundy said. “I’m extremely proud of the guys that played tonight,” he continued.
The Magic (36-25) have won back to back games and look to keep the winning streak going as they travel to Boston and play the Celtics Wednesday night. Tip off set for 8pm.
