Whoa! State to Drug Test the Needy
Gov. Rick Scott signed into law Tuesday, the controversial measure which requires individuals receiving welfare payments from the state to pass a drug test. Beginning July 1, recipients under the Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) program must pay anywhere from $10 to $70 to be tested and will be reimbursed if they pass the test.
Home Prices Hit New Low in First Quarter 2011
Data through March 2011, released Tuesday by Standard & Poor’s for its S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Indices, the leading measure of U.S. home prices, show that the U.S. National Home Price Index declined by 4.2% in the first quarter of 2011, after having fallen 3.6% in the fourth quarter of 2010.

She also told of the many excuses Casey made as to why she would not come home in the intervening period.
