A Palm Beach County man has been arrested for practicing medicine without a license, the Florida Department of Health and Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office announced today. James Valencia is the brother of Dr. Lucy Valcencia, who was arrested on April 29, and charged with multiple counts of trafficking in Oxycodone and other charges.

Today, the University of Florida (UF) will break ground on the Research and Academic Center at Lake Nona. The center will extend UF’s research enterprise to the Orlando area and promote collaboration among researchers at UF and Sanford-Burnham Institute for Medical Research. Their goal is to lead fundamental medical research in cancer, diabetes and other diseases available to patients in clinical settings.
