Nine Arrested in Undercover Prostitution Sting
Nine persons have been arrested as a result of a prostitution sting, after Osceola County deputies received complaints of illegal activity at the Palm Motel located at 4519 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway and Super 8 Motel located at 4880 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee.
Osceola Deputies Bust Five Grow Houses
Agents of the Osceola County Investigative Bureau and Polk County drug agents busted five grow houses on Thursday. The operation began in June when agents followed up on information from a grow house discovered in May. Deputies arrested five men involved in the cultivation of cannabis.

District Maintains Record Number of Five Star Schools
The Florida Commissioner of Education announced that 86 Orange County Public Schools have been designated Five Star Schools. Last year the district also had 86 schools designated as such, setting a record that showed a 16 percent increase over the 2008-2009 school year.
