Rep. Maxine Waters and the Congressional Ethics Findings
Rep. Maxine Waters, a California Democrat, will likely face a public ethics trial much like the one that Rep. Charles Rangel of New York will face. The Office of Congressional Ethics, an independent panel, said it had found a substantial reason to believe that Waters may have violated House ethics rules when she used her position on the Financial Services Committee to arrange a meeting between Treasury Department officials and representatives of the National Bankers Association, a trade association for minority-owned banks.
Edgewater HS Teacher Busted for Sex with Minor
A soccer coach at the Edgewater High School gym was arrested on Tuesday afternoon and charged with several counts, including unlawful sexual activity with a minor, Orlando Police said in a statement.
Serial Bank Robber Sentenced to 13 Years
A Florida man who pleaded guilty to committing six bank robberies and said he robbed another 15 south Florida banks, was on Monday sentenced to 13 years in federal prison. Steven Gass, 55 years, dubbed the “Old Man Bandit” pled guilty to the following six robberies:
