Orlando Body Count Continues, Another Teen Shot Multiple Times

On November 7, 2009, around 3:00 am, the Orlando Police Department responded to the parking lot of the Vitamin Shop located at 3803 East Colonial Drive in reference to a suspicious incident.

A caller found the victim, a white male with trauma sitting in the driver seat of a red Ford Escort Coupe.  The victim was unresponsive and unconscious.

Officers arrived on scene and found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was deceased at the scene.

The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was at the Roxy night club at Bennett Road and Colonial Drive prior to his murder.

The motive is undetermined at this time.

The victim was identified as Emmanuel E. Velez-Alvarez, 19 years old.
