Piedmont Lakes Middle School, Timber Creek High School and the Winter Park 9th Grade Center represent the best in media centers statewide, according to the Florida Association for Media Supervisors and the Department of Education Library Media Services.

Evaluations for the three media centers show they received excellent scores in areas such as instruction, curriculum, resource management, program administration, environment and advocacy.

The award designation is valid for three years. During that time, the schools will mentor other schools in their quest to build and maintain excellent media centers.
